2011 COCO SAP SUGAR EXPORTS UP BY 92.78%

Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Administrator Euclides G. Forbes has announced a 92.78 percent increase in 2011 exports volume of coco sap sugar with 70,000 kilograms compared with 36,310 kilograms for 2010 . Earlier figures showed a tremendous leap of 224.20 percent increase in exports volume from a low of 11,200 kilograms in 2009 compared with 2010 figures.  MORE»

Forbes bared that coco export earnings for year 2011 reached $1,957,275,683.00 which is a 20.28 percent increase compared with 2010 figures of $1,627,297,062.00. P838,497M ALLOTTED TO PCA's PLANTING/REPLANTING AND FERTILIZATION PROGRAMS

Philippine Coconut Authority Administrator Euclides G. Forbes has announced that the Department of Budget and Management and the Department of Agriculture have allotted funds to PCA amounting to PhP 502,310 M for the massive planting/replanting program and PhP 336,187 M for fertilization program.
